Recently there have been alot of ants around the house, dunno where they come from. At first it was only downstairs at the dining table, but now they seem to have migrated to my room as well. While i'm sitting at my table doing stuff, I keep seeing a few ants randomly crawling around, and i proceed to squash them, but after a few minutes i see a few more ants. But the thing is, they don't move in a nice line, so i can't follow them to the source and get rid of them once and for all. Sometimes i feel a sharp pain on my arm or leg and I look down to see an ant biting me -.- Luckily it's small ants and not those big ones, but their bites still hurt (dunno why wanna bite me anyway, perhaps I smell sweet cos of the strawberry-scented lotion i'm using)
So anyway, last night I was eating some chocolates, and left the box on my table before I went to sleep (there were still some chocolates left). They were individually wrapped pieces of Toberone (is that how you spell it? looks weird) in a sort of paper tube thingy, meaning it's not air-tight.
In the morning, I thought of taking a few out to eat, and horror of horrors! There were thousands of ants crawling around inside the box! I kid you not, the ants were literally swarming the whole thing. Thus, i quickly brought the whole box to the sink, removed the few pieces of chocolate inside, and washed away the ants on the box. so then I tried to save the chocolates by removing them from the wrapper, thinking that there might only be a few ants inside which I can just flick away. But boy was I wrong. I opened the wrapper of the first piece and hundreds of ants burst out in panic! i kept sweeping them into the sink but more and more were rushing out. Same goes for the other pieces. In the end I had to throw away the whole thing and wash all the ants down the sink, what a waste =(
