I was watching Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends one day and apparently, the people over at Cartoon Network (or whoever who made the cartoon) don't know where Singapore is.
That particular episode was when the Duchess finally got adopted by a family, and everyone at Foster's were so relieved that they celebrated by partying late into the night. So when Mac got home, he was about to open his door, when guess what, he heard Duchess' voice coming from his neighbour's room!
The entire night (and the rest of the day too), Duchess was making such a racket ordering her newly found family around and complaining, that Mac's mother could not take it anymore. She said that it this continues, the whole family would have to move. Mac, hearing this, panicked as he feared he might not be able to see Bloo anymore if they moved any further than a few blocks down the street. Terrance (Mac's brother), tried to scare Mac by telling him that they were moving to Singapore, and added that it was in Wisconsin. And Mac corrected him by saying that Singapore was not in Wisconsin, but rather in Malaysia. -_-" Ok well it's sort of close by...
Mostly I get people asking me if Singapore is in China. Like there was once on my family vacation in Melbourne, this lady on the street asked us to take a survey for tourists. So we filled up all the info, including the country we're from. After she took the survey back, she stared at the country and asked, "You're from Singapore? Is that in China?" (maybe just because we were Chinese?) Then we were like, "Nope it is at the tip of Malaysia". And she replied, "Oh really?? I didn't know there was a country there!"
