Anecdotes Of Life

Bitten by a cat!T_T
Monday, October 13, 2008

ytd I went to my neighbour's house for lunch cos they invited us for Hari Raya but we couldn't make it that day so we went ytd instead. After eating we were sitting on the sofa chatting (actually my parents were chatting with them, i was watching a show on their tv) and I was bored so I tried to pat their cat which was lying on a rug.

wa dunno the cat dun like me or what, once i touch it, it hissed and promptly bit me! but not that hard down la, and the teeth so small compared to my dog's so it wasn't that pain. I never knew cats actually bit people, I thought they only scratch? well after tt it lifted the paw too but my hand was gone liao.

Maybe it could smell the scent of my dog on me ba, cos after tt some other guest went to pet it and it didn't object. But maybe also itz bad-tempered cos it got abused before but luckily rescued by my neighbours. Some evil person tied a rubber band super tight on the cat's front leg and put super glue over it. The poor cat had to go to the vet to remove the rubber band and glue, and now there's a bald patch (or rather bald ring) around the front leg. =(

Tokyo here I come!
Thursday, October 9, 2008

Yay! I think I might be going to Tokyo again this December for vacation. =D Actually my mother wanted to go to Milan cos we've never been there before, and seems like always going back to the same place. However, we found that the hotels in Milan cost much more than those in Tokyo. If you go to HotelsCombined.com, there's a whole list of hotels from different countries, including the star rating, rates and stuff. The page for Tokyo hotels is here:http://www.hotelscombined.com/City/Tokyo.htm. There are some pretty cheap yet at least 3 star rating hotels. There are even pictures of the room and sometimes reviews of the hotel there, quite a useful site.

It think sometime this June, my bro went to Tokyo with some friends on a shopping trip (of course he paid for the trip himself, my parents were reluctant to let him go) and found some rather interesting places we didn't know of before. According to him, they have a 7 story shopping complex that is something like Daiso the $2 store in Singapore. But then again, maybe it was Daiso just that he didn't know? cos if you look at this site: http://www.daiso-sangyo.co.jp/english/storeinfo/, the Daiso in other countries is just a small store compared to the one in Japan which is like i think the whole building! Oh and I think Daiso in Japan is a 100 yen store, which is slightly cheaper than $2.

Hopefully they'll have some nice and cheap stuff like those found at Strapya.com. The stuff there is so cute! But quite ex la, plus got shipping fee...Oh, and I hope got cute and affordable Hello Kitty stuff too! the last time I went there, there was this super cute furry pink Hello Kitty bag but it was much too expensive to buy...=(

Scaredy Dog
Wednesday, October 8, 2008

Wa my dog is really scared of the smallest things, which is very funny cos normally he's quite fearless and keeps biting the hand that feeds him(of course not really biting down la, like mouthing, but his teeth so sharp! T_T). So anyway, usually when I bring him out to walk, there's still abit of light, like around 6 plus in the evening? Around that time, the only things he can be scared about are slopes, steps and drains. He will refuse to walk when we start to approach those "obstacles". But now abit braver la, sometimes will walk over.

Last weekend, however, I brought him out around 7-8 plus cos I had lots of work to do before that, so it was quite dark at that time and the street lights were on. At first we were walking with the light in front of us and he was happily enjoying the wind. Then, we reached the end of the path and I turned around, so the light is now behind us. Immediately, he caught sight of his own shadow and sprung back in fear! LOL. It was quite cute actually. He started sniffing the shadow and I think realised that it was nothing harmful. Even at home, when the cars drive past at night you can see the shadow and he'll start barking at it -_-".

Oh and there was once, someone painted white stripes on the usual path we walk on, and he approached those stripes so suspiciously, sniffing each one and walking slowly over them. He'll be like running at full speed then reach the stripes, suddenly slow down to a crawl. XD

Yesterday, I was on the bus after school and overheard this group of girls (I wasn't eavesdropping! They were talking so loudly! lol) discussing someone's engagement. Apparently, one of the girls' boyfriend recently proposed to her, and she got an engagement ring. Wa the ring is like quite ex, heard them saying it's dunno $100 or $1000+ and it's real diamond! the guy must be super rich.

So her friends were pestering her to tell them how he proposed la, and she didn't say anything, just kept giggling -_-". So they came up with all sorts of crazy scenarios including one in which he had a fireworks display just for her.

So after that they were asking her when is the wedding, and she said this December! Omg, I can't imagine getting married while still in school la, like much too early. In fact, I can't imagine getting married at all lol. And we have exams in November...still have time to prepare for wedding?

Come to think of it, I remember one of my friend's friend got married last year, to a guy she met online! Of course she met the guy in person already, and even met his parents, but I think they knew each other for less than a year only! So kan cheong =p
