This morning I almost fainted on the MRT trip to school. At first I just kept feeling that my bag was really heavy, even though I have all the same things as last week inside it, and I didn't feel that it was heavy then. Then around 2-3 stations before Jurong East I started feeling nauseous and thus had to grip on tightly to one of the metal poles and bend my head down. At this moment my condition was still bearable, as in still don't feel like fainting yet...
However, a huge crowd of people entered the train at Jurong East, and that's when things got worse. Firstly, the huge crowd meant that there was less fresh air, and secondly, there was this man with terrible body odour standing in front of me. I started feeling breathless and started breathing very deeply and rapidly. At this point the people around me were looking at me weirdly...Because of this, and the fact that the train was packed, I didn't want to squat down even though I was already breaking out in cold sweat. Around Chinese Garden however, I just couldn't take it and had to squat down. Those around me shifted away from me...I guess they were afraid I was gonna throw up on them...This wasn't the first time this happened in the MRT but the previous time someone offered his seat to me so I recovered by the time I reached school.
Anyway at Boon Lay I managed to get off the train but had to rest on the seats for about 5 mins because my hands and legs were feeling numb and shaky and I couldn't walk without feeling faint. Tried calling my friend to see if she could pick me up from Boon Lay interchange but she didn't pick up the call cos somehow it couldn't get through...Anywae she was 1 hr late for lecture haha.
Supposed to have lab today so I thought it was important to go to school...thus made my way to take the bus and actually managed to get to school. But still felt quite unwell in school so went to the school's medical center to get mc. Normally I don't bother seeing doctor since it's expensive but I needed the mc for the lab teacher...
lol..such a long winded story..but there's more! After explaining my situation to the doctor, he suggested doing a couple of tests to determine the cause of these fainting spells. Mainly it was a couple of blood tests checking blood sugar, blood count and such...Gotta send these to an external lab for tests though so I haven't gotten the results. I was kinda apprehensive about drawing out blood for the tests though cos the last time i took out a tube of blood I fainted after about 2 hours? And this time they needed 2 tubes...The nurse made me lie down before drawing blood just in case I fainted. She thought I had "needle phobia" so she told me not to look at the needle lol. But luckily this time nothing happened. Maybe cos I ate a milo bar right after I left the clinic..
So they'll contact me after the test results are out..hopefully there's nothing wrong with me..
